If you’ve been following this blog, perhaps you know about the big haircut my son got about a month ago… Although his long-surfer-boy locks were shorn, I’ve been holding out hope that the short-and-spiky look would lose its appeal, but boy was I wrong.
Apparently the gel and hairspray were like gateway drugs, and we’ve progressed from his hair standing on end at just at the front to a full-on Mohawk—every day. I fully blame the Miami’s Heat’s Chris Anderson (and my son’s obsession with him and his tattoos—I’ll save that for another post) for this new hairstyle, but what can I do? Like I’ve said before, my son’s personal expression is very important to me, and at least this ‘do isn’t hurting anyone (except maybe me a little).
I’m still debating whether or not I’ll indulge his hairstyle desires when school starts, and fortunately I have about a month for him to tire of the Mohawk. What would you do?
