Gluten-free is a big buzzword these days, and few professionals (and moms) know more about this lifestyle than Jackie Ourman. She discovered her passion after being faced with the challenges that come along with having celiac disease herself, as well as being a mom to children with multiple food allergies. She shares recipes, dining-out strategies and gluten-free resources on her blog,
C.A.F.E by Jackie Ourman.
But just being aware and informed wasn’t enough for Ourman. She received a degree from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City in 2012, and continues to study food and the realities of working in bustling restaurant kitchens. This gluten-free crusader is also a member of the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network—and the tables turned when she started to get creative in the kitchen. Today, she chronicles her ongoing journey and shares her insights and experiences to help others navigate the complex world of gluten-free living.
