My name is Flossie Hall; I have 4 kids whose ages are 14, 10, 4 and 2. Even though I’m a very busy mom, I am currently four classes away from graduating at the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. In the spring, I plan on taking my MCATs and applying for medical school.
We currently live in San Diego, California where my husband who is serving in the US Navy is currently attached to Naval Special Warfare and a Seal Team unit. Being a military wife is no easy task but I try to be supportive of my husband by being on the board for his Command's FRG (Family Readiness Group. We plan events for families and spouses and we also provide support for families during deployments. I also volunteer with Team RWB, (Red White Blue) an organization dedicated to keeping veterans and active duty members active through camaraderie and physical activities.
After gaining over 210 pregnancy pounds, I hovered around the 200 lb. mark before embarking on a healthy journey for myself and my family. We now live a very healthy active lifestyle. I am down to 135 lbs. and feel stronger than I have ever been. So now, I run a website called Healthy Momma that aim to share recipes, tips and provide motivation for families to help live healthier lifestyles. It's not just for women, but spouses, and children who love nutritious foods and enjoy activities that keep their bodies strong and healthy! Recently, I released 3 E-Cookbooks on my site and plan to tour some health expos as well.
