Dr. Susan Schiff takes a balanced approach to being a mom, perhaps because she owns a thriving acupuncture/alternative health and wellness practice in Delray Beach, Florida. Mom to son Tiger, this Doctor of Oriental Medicine, acupuncture physician, herbalist and fertility specialist says, “He is my biggest teacher—and having him reach for my hand when he’s walking with me is one of the best parts of being a mom.”
With a practice that focuses on treating couples that struggle with “subfertility,” Dr. Schiff says that Tiger is a daily reminder of how blessed and fortunate she and her partner are to have a healthy, beautiful child. And she expresses her appreciation and gratitude by taking long bike rides, finding new skateboard parks, watching movies and, of course, snuggling as a family.
When she’s not helping patients expand their families and feel their best, you’ll probably find Dr. Schiff on the back nine (she has a 10 handicap)—that is when she isn’t singing Pink and Bruno Mars at the top of her lungs with Tiger.
